Next Top Model winner says she took rap for bullyingIT’S the storm in a B-cup that won’t go away but yesterday controversial tele-model Demelza Reveley sidestepped the bullying claims.

Speaking just hours after being crowned, Demelza claimed she had taken the rap for the remainder of the contestants who also bullied Byron Bay local Alamela Rowan during part of the recent FOX8 series.

“I know that I have taken the fall for everyone because I was basically classified as the ringleader. But that wasn’t the case at all,” she said.

“It was a group effort and something everyone was involved in. It was a pack mentality kind of thing.

Demelza ReveleyFROM a bully to a beauty, Wollongong teenager Demelza Reveley clasped her claws around the catwalk crown as she beat rival Alexandra Girdwood to the Australia’s Next Top Model title.

 

In an intense grand final showdown broadcast live from Luna Park last night, Reveley – the youngest girl in the competition at just 16 – overcame the notorious bullying scandal and “bottom heavy” criticism to put her princess pout forward and claim the prize.

While stand-in host Charlotte Dawson attempted to smooth over the cracks in Reveley’s crown by addressing the bullying issue, the on-air apology to series victim Alamela Rowan seemed to fall on deaf ears.

Alex and Demelza SHE picked on her housemates and was told she was too fat for the catwalk, but teenager Demelza Reveley has been crowned Australia’s Next Top Model.

The 16-year-old from Wollongong relied on the viewer’s vote to win the Fox 8 reality show after the panel of fashionista judges failed to reach a decision among themselves.

Three of the six backed Demelza and three wanted Sydney girl Alexandra Girdwood to take the title.

The winner picked up a modelling contract with make-up king Napoleon Perdis, a spread in Australian Vogue and chance to strut their stuff on catwalks around the world.

SHE’S been labelled a bully and chastised over her weight, but Australia’s Next Top Model finalist Demelza Reveley says she’s confident of winning – because her competitor is too old

Reveley, 16, will fight it out against 21-year-old Alex Girdwood in the final of the reality TV show next Tuesday and believes she’s in the better position.

“I guess I’d be a little more concerned if I was her,” Reveley said.

Usually it seems that on America’s Next Top Model, contestants who are told to watch their calorie intake don’t actually listen. But on Australia’s Next Top Model, it’s a whole different story. One contestant, Demelza Reveley, lost almost four inches from her hips after judges called her “bottom-heavy.”

And she’s only 16 years old! Her hips used to measure almost 40 inches and now she’s down to about 36 inches. And she told the Herald Sun she wants to lose more:

But Australia’s Next Top Model hopeful Demelza Reveley from Keiraville, just laughed at the issue surrounding her weight yesterday and said, fat or thin, she’ll never please everyone.
